Addicted to Speed.

First was the arcade game Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 2.
Next, Need For Speed Carbon for the PC.

Just last thursday, i bought Need For Speed: Own the City for PSP.

My obsession with speed, cars.
Perhaps that's why my parents refuse to let me drive the family car.... KAKAKAKAKA!!!

CNY!
A long CNY weekend, from last Friday til yesterday...
Friday, 16 Feb '07 -1 Day before CNY Eve-------------------------------------------------
Today company off, so stayed at home to do some cleaning... but very lazy.. so only
some cleaning... kaka
so lazy... haahaahaa
Saturday, 17 Feb '07 -CNY Eve-------------------------------------
CNY Eve, the day of reunion dinner.
Being a saturday, its cleanup bunny cage time! These little critters, eat alot, drink alot, so lots of pee, and shit too! Now i need to change their litter box daily. Haiz. As my mom said, on the day i got the little cuties,
拿来做 (aka, finding stuff to do)
Oh well, she's right, but these are my responsibilities, so gotta care for them!
They're 2 months old liao, getting smarter and smarter. Now when i open the cage to get their food bowl, they will auto-follow me to the bag of food! haahaa, so cute!
Evening time, its dinner time! BBQ + steamboat, using newly bought stainless steel chopsticks!! w00t! Lots of stuff, vegies, meat, prawns. Yummy!
After dinner, its the ritual kitchen floor washing, aka "Play water" for me and my sis... hahaha!
After midnite, we went to the stretch of flora shops @ Kovan City. Compared with last year, it wasn't as crowded, but still alot of people. And many indians/vietnamese workers shouting prices, like "一个$28块!来啊,来啊!" (one for $28, come come!). Its a funny spectacle, sometimes i wonder if they know what they're saying, or just reciting what their employers ask them to say.
Mom bought a medium-sized lime plant, which we somehow managed to fit into our car (today was the day i found out that Odyssey's back seat folding is automated! So cool! kaakakaa)
Afterwhich, got home, and only slept at 3am :)
Sunday, 18 Feb '07 -CNY Day 1-------------------------------------
1st Day of CNY, day of visiting!
After a late breakfast, went to my auntie's place for lunch, where we stayed til 4 plus, then to another auntie's house for dinner. So tiring! Got home, and stayed up late playing WoW again... haahaa
Monday, 19 Feb '07 -CNY Day 2--------------------------------------
2nd Day of CNY....
Woke up feeling tired, but nevertheless, prep-up and went to auntie's house for "Lo Hei" -- tossing yusheng -- :) Toss ah, toss ah, make a mess ah.. hahaahahaahaa!
Thereafter went to Benson's house for the ex-Rendevous Bunnies + Little Red Dots gathering. Had dinner there, then we headed for Guildspot @ boat quay Coffee Bean for kopi. Then went to Partyworld KTV!!!!! Whee!!!!
Recorded some videos, now waiting for Eld to do video editing before he posts it up to youtube. Man, this group sure has some real singers! Its a wonder why they didn't go for competitions. Sigh, undiscovered talents!
Tuesday, 20 Feb '07 -CNY Day 3---------------------------------------
Finally.. day of resting. Wasn't that well during the festive period... much resting..
and also gaming! kakakakakaka!
------------------------------------------------------------------
This year's Angpao money, much lesser than last year. Everyone's on budget i guesss. Total of $102 from relatives (excluding parents).
But compared with last year, this year's packet designs look much nicer:

And so, that's it, my CNY long weekend. Happy CNY, and a prosperous one to ALL!

D-Day? No. V-DAY!
In a sense....today can also be called the D-Day of Singles.
YUP.
Valentines Day.
The day where singles squirm and take cover, the day where couples officially celebrate their love.
Also a day for damn smart entrepreneurs make money buy selling chocolates and flowers at ridiculously high prices.
"Show me teh $$$$$$$"
Well, for me, its just another singles valentines, a straight 26 single-status record. WoHoo!
... not sure whether i should be happy for that.... kakakakakakaka..
Well, like last year, i made flowers for the ladies in my department. Last year was a lily, while this year was a rose. I didn't make the origami rose like i planned to, since the end result isn't as good as i thought.
Also like last year, it was a last minute effort.. last year i worked on the lilies til 3am V-day... this year, i only completed my roses by 4am...
Well, came to office, and distributed the flowers. Those who were closer to me, knew of my plan, or those who recieved the lilies last year, so they weren't that suprised. But i did get smiles from all of them. And that, i believe, is worth it.
Now, my eyes are tired, my soul weakened, but happy from all the smiles i recieved.
I think if i DO get in a relationship, i won't have the time & effort for such scale of production.
So, with all the goodness left in me, i wish all readers (if any) a great Valentine's Day!.
tonite go home, groom my darling bunnies, then rest.

--------------------------------------
All geared for a easy tuesday afternoon at work. For soothing of mind, for the calming of souls.
But i nearly didn't make it till today.
I stared at the face of death, cursed at him, gave him a slap or 2, and turned back, back to the land of the living....
Coz yesterday, was mending the electrical wiring of the Buddha's altar (at the balcony where we usually let them run loose) that my lil bunnies bit at (danger!!!!). Saw that some part of the plastic insulation was bitten off, and i could see the copper wiring (DANGER!!!!). Didn't think much...
Till i touched the wiring.
1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 volts of pure, untamed energy came to me like a bull charging at the matador... and i was blown back by the impact.
....
ok. maybe it wasn't that high voltage.
...
ok. maybe it wasn't as bad as i said... but someone told me to exaggerate stuff... ;)
but it was bad enuff to make me scream some foul words in quick succession (which, to now, i can't recall what they are).
It didn't really damage me, but i could still feel an occasional tingle on the finger which contacted the wiring, which lasted till last nite.
Today dinner will be me buying, since i have not found any stuff for my mom's bdae (10 Feb, last Sat, but she went Genting over the weekend). So i guess treating dinner would be better. What could you get a 50+ year old lady?Diamond? Nope, Dad took care of it when he bought her the Destinee diamond Ring:

Cool rite? Of course! Its freakin' costs 3K! But i guess mom deserves it, she's been taking care of the family well ;)

Tomolo will be valentines. This year is the 26th Single Valentine. Record! Hahaahaahaa. I'm not that upset, sad or anything, unlike the past few years. Now, i just take it as it is. A great day for giving gifts!
Preparing roses for mi'ladies of the office... its hard when you're in a mostly-female environment. There's a total of 16 ladies i wanna give (11 from my dept, 5 from the other dept, which i've worked with in various projects). This year, i'm making paper roses, no, not the kawasaki origami rose (which by the way, i tried last year, with no results. But this year, presto!), as the final product wasn't as what i wanted it to be. This year, it'll be slightly simpler, but no love, no feelings will be lost.
All will be well. :)
It is all a state of mind.
*HUMMMMMMMMMM*

Bad Luck: Strike of the High-heeled D-cup lady
This morning nothing but bad luck:

2. My Walkman phone's right earpiece rubber dropped! ARGH!!
3. Stepped by this eurasian lady, by her high heels! Ouchies! A tad too big on the front (i reckon a 'D'-cup at least).
Gotta watch my moves today.... things might go ugly....

Weekending
Nothing much happened this weekend...
Went to Metro on Sat, bought 2 pants and a polo Tee for the upcoming CNY (the Sales promoter recognised me, haahaa, coz i been there a week before to get 2 shirts from her, along with my dad).
Also cleaned the cage of my bunnies, kao, the vege stink from their shit & pee, PHEW!!!! POWER!. Sis bought a litter box, at first they didn't use it at all, but now i think they begun to understand the purpose of it (and that is, to pee & shit in it)... although they haven't been using it exclusively.. still got shit & pee around the cage... but its a good start!
Sunday was normal to, did a little cleaning (note: little cleaning, spent most of the time playing XP).

This morning i heard great news from Jan, her niece, LeYi, a newborn girl, is now stable, should be able to go home soon. Poor girl, she had a condition which required Operation to be performed, and at such a young age....
No matter, the worst is over, LeYi, Live Strong, Live Proud!

NEWS: New system to help S'pore detect potential threats, emerging trends
SINGAPORE: Singapore will soon have a new system which can help to identify potential threats like a terror attack or emerging trends that point to a crisis.
The Risk Assessment and Horizon Scanning System (RAHS System) is developed by the National Security Coordination Centre under the Prime Minister's Office and several partners.
Full Story here

Now, from a programmer's point of view, this is pretty interesting. A system that collects data, and links them up? I would really like to understand how it does that.
