My picture of heaven is..... nah, you don't wanna know.
But anyway, we went to this restaurant called Absolute Heaven, serving modern European cuisine.
We had the set lunch which comprises of
1. The soup. (forgot to take pic. Mushroom soup, clear. Stitchy said it tasted like LPG, i found it quite ok. Served in an oval bowel, which i said resembled a basin and proceeded to "wash" my hands with it)
2. Mini bites. We ordered some mini bread with some toppings. 2 had portobello mushroom, other some kind of vege, and one with something like mayo chicken.
3.Main course. We had lobster! Look like rite? Its just some pasta with some mushroom and vege.
3. Desert. Tiramisu. MINI!
That's it!
Forgive the lackluster description...i'm just too lazy... and demoralized (please see my previous post).
The intention was to have this in my hands before my reservist start, so that i have some music to listen to (i can't bring mp3s in, only a simple CD Player), and this is a good one!!
Now i have to live with one week of boring music (my reservist starts 8 Oct)....
Its been a long week, looooooooooooooong one, longest ever, longer than my.......... NEVERMIND.
Anyway, plans for today+sat:
Today: Lunch with Chelsia, at some place called Absolute Heaven with SQ, CT, AC, Stitchy & Me. Evening go for massage, dinner at.. Carl's Jr? See how. Then loiter around..
Tomolo: Watch Ratatouille with Stitchy and bf, Smurfy, after that jalan jalan around.
Sunday: Wash rabbit cage.
In between those times, its WoW! Alterac Valley week, best way to rake up my PVP Honor points. Dunno wat item i want, but need to get those point up first.
EDIT: i also ordered my Wangan Midnight R OST... neec to wait for 5-15 days !!! *CRY*
Break from troublesome, impatient bitches who think their project is the only project we have. Break from those late nights to liaise with US/India.
Break.
I'm not asking for much... It can be a relaxing tea @ some nice coffee place. It can be watching some movies. It can be going KTV. It can be listening to my fav songs (btw which i ordered, Wangan Midnight R OST, arriving in 3-5 days.. whoppie!)
I can't find a suitable title for this post, but here it goes:
Not everyone knows whats going on. No one knows you have such a close friend, naturally they become concerned if the person suddenly splurges on you. It maybe natural to you, but those who don't know will naturally get curious. Such relationships ring alarms all over the world, its only natural.
But what can we do? Explain? Sometimes it makes things worse. The world we now live in was built on lies, betrayal, deceit. Not everyone believes in anything pure now. Anything pure will always get stained by "reality" that is our society now.
Seeing you in this pissed, annoyed state, it really saddens me to the core. And, being me, and knowing myself, nothing i can say or do will help ease your anger. And i really hate that. I really hate being unable to help, unable to do anything, while i see you in this state.
What have we done, people.. what kind of world did we build for ourselves? Is this the world we're destined to live in, to eat in, to breathe in?
Today's a really hot and humid day, and our office aircon had to break down! OMFG! We're like trapped, hot rats in a frying pan. We took out our old fan, "kapo"-ed one from our boss, another from another department, and an air cooler from the server room to keep the ventilation.
But its damn warm lor.... not much use when we're in 4 walls and ventilation for 20 people is provided by only 3 fans and an air cooler.
Lunch time, no improvement. Damn sun damn hot.
ARGH!
Miraculously the aircon stuttered to life at ard 4pm.. but wa kao, too late liao....
Wasn't feeling that good yesterday (been like that since Saturday), last nite took 2 Panadols and went to sleep...
Perhaps it was the Panadol? Hallucination?
I dreamt that i was involved in some car race, but instead of racing in cars, somehow the dream morphed into a running race in which the "racers" made engine sounds... pretty silly, yeah??
Then, somehow i became a girl (OMFG), chasing this guy around (not in love, seems more like i was angry), i chased him until he hit under a chair. I took a swing at the chair to knock him out....
... and i woke up, my right fist on the wall, in pain!
....i looked at my watch... 3.18am.. damn, asleep for 3hr plus only...
The anime is about a young man who does investigative about paranormal activities, along with his mysterious assistant, the female protagonist, a monk (who plays in a rock band), a "miko" (priestess) who looks not the part and a young Catholic priest. Started out pretty much with scientific stuff, but as the series continued, it started out to be more of horror and suspense type, with lots of exorcisms and spells. Pretty interesting anime, even though you know its fake, sometimes it still chills to the bone. Not exactly an anime to watch at night... but if you don't, there's no kick in it :P
Sci-fi Channel's Ghost Hunters has been my favourite in such genre of Investigative shows. Its about these 2 plumbers who form a Society who investigates paranormal activities, using equipment like Infra-red cameras, motion detectors, etc. Most of time they managed to debunk the so-called hauntings, but there are several cases where the personal experiences and evidence showed otherwise. Interesting show... :P
Can't find a GOOD picture that will capture the essence of the show... guess must watch then will understand... :P
... but what's the point of changing when it is done to fit back in to what was done?
Humans are so contradicting, they want to change things, but when they see the change is out of what is in their comfort zone, they try to make the change to fit their comfort zone. What's the point in change, then, when we all go back to square one?
What's wrong with data exported coming out as 1,0? in computer terms, its purely logical, storing a 1 for yes, 0 for no. Why must we find a way to make it come out in number format? Can't we work with 1s and 0s?
Its almost like telling me to print stuff using a black and whit dot-matrix printer instead of the new laser printer, just because you find that the dots on the dot-matrix printer is nicer..
haiz... getting angry gives me a headache and a bad frown...
This morning i felt the tremors from a fresh aftershock of last nights M8.4 quake at Indonesia. Though i didn't feel anything for the big one, i did feel its after shock just now...
... was minding my own business, prepping up for work, when my sis shouted, "dude, did you feel that?". Instinctively i looked at the decoration hanging from my cupboard... and it was swaying! I looked at the door, and lou and behold, its swaying too! Mom was prepping breakfast, and she shouted, "Hurry come down and eat your breakfast! Wait need to evac!"
=_=
Then she said "oh, better hurry go change, wait really need to evac, cannot go out looking like this"
=_="
Mom... when there's a real need to evac, even if you're showering, you don't care what your're wearing... just get the hell outta there!
I just spent the last half hour going through all my previous posts made on this blog...
I could see, as time passes, the way i write has changed slightly, some people have nicknames now, how i used to get mood swings all-so often...
Have i grown? I dunno... Have i changed? Yea, probably. What's next? I have no comments. Let's see how life deals his cards. i'll deal with them as it comes.
6 years ago, on this day, we saw the world's so-called "super-power" country brought to its knees... 6 years ago, on this day, we witnessed the deaths of many innocent lives, all for the sake of a so-called "holy war"... 6 years ago, on this day, we were reminded that even the strongest, can be weak...
6 years ago, on this day, we also saw the same friggin' clip of the airliner crash into the WTC Towers 1,000 times on TV ...
Yup, September 11. It changed how we viewed this world, how governments handle terrorism, changed the way we lived.
I was in Air Force School at the time, training for my NS. This incident sparked a huge concern in security, and tons of contingencies and fail safes popped out to protect the country.
Meant more work for me in NS, more "shit" to handle....
6 years down, even though the event is slowly fading from our memories (but i bet not from history books, this is an unprecedented event), one thing's for sure...the world is different now.
Better? Safer? I dunno. More paranoid? Suspicous? Yes.
To those who perished in the unfortunate incident, may your souls be at peace.
Sony came out with a smaller, lighter PSP, called PSP Slim.
I took a look at it, not much additional features, mainly its better loading times, slimmer, and TV-Output function. Not enough to make me replace my old PSP.
However, its due for a facelift.
I went to Gamer's Hub @ SLS (the same shop i got my PSP), and got a new skin for it.
ZEN
It took me 1.5hrs to stick it onto my PSP... tough work, considering my limited skill of crafts...but here's the result:
Front (with the game CRUSH loading screen on)
Back (notice, the original had the sticker covering the PSP logo, but i didn't do it as it would hide the identity of the set.. that i don't like. also notice, the strap. Yea, that's the original PSP strap, took it back out, since it matches the current theme.)
Not exactly a perfect job, as i think i stretched the skin a little too much (evident in the front, at the bottom buttons..)
I tried this game yesterday on my sis's DS Lite, and i fell in love with it.
Of course, knowing how poor my hand-eye co-ordination is, i didn't expect much..
and i didn't do well..
It took me almost 20 restarts to get past the first 2 levels.
Basically, eachlevel of Ouendan features a plot line accompanied by a specific song. A character (or characters) facing a problem will cry "Ōendan!" when their conflict reaches a climax. This call summons the cheer squad, and the song starts. During the game, the story is told on the Nintendo DS's top screen, and gameplay takes place on the touch screen. The player uses the Nintendo DS's stylus to perform varying actions according to the markers that appear on screen.
This, my friends, is what i suck at.
:)
But, nonetheless, some of the tracks are very nice, especially since their "covers", i.e. not by the original artistes.
Damn, its making me want to own a DS.
On a side note, i've got my hands on one of the latest, and i had to say, interesting, game for my PSP. Called, CRUSH, you play an insomniac, who uses a new technology to find the source of his sleepless nights. The gameplay alternates between 2D and 3D planes, which must be used to get past each levels. Damn hard, i got stuck at level 2.
:P
But, Ouendan... damn you, dun make me want to buy a DS!!!
Things don't seem to be going smoothly these few weeks...
1. The projects i handled have some problem or another, causing problems to me and others. 2. I've attempted IPPT 3 times, and failed 3 times. I couldn't seem to last more than 6 minutes of constant running. The deadline's this Saturday.. i booked for one final test. If that fails, its RT time....
But on the brighter side: 1. Stitchy finally got recognition for her achievements at work! The company gives out monthly prizes to people who exceled in their work, and she finally got it! YEA!!!!! GRATS!!!!
