    Ring

    worms.

I dunno how i got them into my system, but they're there. Eating. Devouring. Devastating me. After a week of self medication (not really medication, more of applying cream and use of special soap to bathe) and not much visible improvements, i went to see my family doc.

Just as i feared, a horde of ringworms were suspected to have invaded the peaceful town of Vicsville. She gave me anti-fungal & itch prevention tablets, to be taken once daily (in the morning, after meal), in addition to the cream application, which i should continue.

Didn't really take note of what the doc gave me, but this morning when i was about to take the anti-fungal tablet, the instruction gave me a shock.

"1 tablet every morning, after meals. STOP IF EYES TURN YELLOW. blahblahblah"

    ...

WTF? My eyes will turn yellow?

The medicine i was taking is called Ketaconazole:

"...is a synthetic antifungal drug used to prevent and treat skin and fungal infections, especially in immunocompromised patients such as those with AIDS."

    bleh, i no AIDS lor.....

anyway, gotta finish the medicine, the horde is strong, and i need all the help i can get... even if the medicine my turn my eyes yellow.

    Charles & Keith Bag

Hand-made earrings (Swarovski crystals, Beads, Metal accessories).

    Did i fail?

Met AT for dinner + movie @ AMK Hub, we met ard 6.45 and went to Ichiban Sushi for dinner. Ate and chatted, not realising the time.

By the time we did check our watches, we're already late and got in into the cinema 10mins late.. i feel so silly, should've kept track of the time...

but overall the show is nice, although the ending is SO typical.... but hey, its a fairy tale.

Just hope AT won't be angry with me....

    HERO @ GV Vivocity

Yesterday met AL,CL & PL @ GV Vivocity for the japanese court-room drama turned movie HERO. Overall the show was ok, but i find the ending abit weak. Perhaps its becos it tries to clean up the loose ends from the actual drama and the TV Special, thats y i couldn't fully appreciate the ending...but still, i find the way the ended the court trial is abit abrupt.

Before the movie, had lunch at White Dog Cafe with AL & CL. Service was getting poorer, the waiter that served us got that "zombie" look, see already no mood. Food was ok, now they got daily set lunches a $10.80+.

Right after the movie the 4 of us proceeded to Coffee Club at Habourfront Center for a quick drink and chit chat. Somehow i ended up being the organiser for this christmas's outing.. venue TBC, but its prolly at East Coast. An outdoor outing, cycling/blading. With some pot-luck stuff for quick meal. See how the response rate...

    Now i know why....

when CL said she had no confidence in local male...

Today's boardgames event @ Minds Cafe wasn't that great, the stand-in organiser (cos our man Jerald had some other event to take care of) left early, leaving many of us clueless.

The female group was ok, but i find the guy group.. disappointing..? It seems that either i'm too laid back and out to relax, or the guys are trying to pick up the ladies there...could see a few getting numbers of the ladies, passing name cards, etc. Perhaps becos i'm the youngest one (again, duh), i still can be laid back and take things easy. But i feel some of the guys don't carry themselves well, which makes me wonder if what CL said in the afternoon is true...

Which means, i have a lot to learn so that i won't end up like them.

    "Keen to know.. me?"

Alright, this email has stumped me ever since it landed in my Gmail inbox...1hr ago...

    Hi Victor,

YYY here. Remember me? We met at *bleep* event on *unknownDate*. We were at the same table (first round before the rotation, i'm seated opposite AAA). Nice knowing you :) You seem to enjoy *bleep*. Maybe next time we can go together..

Btw, one of my gal friend who was also at the event that day - XXX is keen to know you. Her email is in the *hiddenList*. But she left early as she had a tired day at work so she didn't get a chance to meet you.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Is heaven trying to joke at me? I certainly hope not. But i don't have the *hiddenList* with me now.. guess i'll contact the person tonight..... :)

No hopes... just see how... ;)

    Haven't you moved on?

Yesterday met Agnes (a new friend made @ Settler's Cafe during last week's singles boardgaming event) at Clarke Quay and we headed to MIND's Cafe for this week's gaming event.

While walking we made small chat and she poped this question: "So how long have you been single?". Instinctively i said "as long as i've been alive". She questioned further and i revealed the 3 month long (or should i say short) relationship...

Not many people knew, and perhaps, i didn't really want people to know... what's there to say? Only 3 months, we just went out only, nothing much... can that be called a relationship?

Thinking back, its almost 5?6? years.

In that time, i've finished my poly, completed my NS, got my Degree and now a working male. In that time, i've remained single. Perhaps i had a taken likings to a few, but gradually it fades of like the morning mist.

    "Haven't you moved on?"

That question took me by suprise. Didn't i move on? Did it look like i didn't?

Details of what happened during that short encounter had gradually escaped my, now only with the bits and pieces of memories were left to remind me that it even existed.

Perhaps there were pyschological scars? I'm not sure...

Even if there is... i won't let it hinder me no more... i cannot sit back and stay stagnant. Everyone is moving forward....

I don't want to be left behind. I need to move on. I WANT to move on. I WILL move on.

Colours to a blue and rainy monday

On a monday with storm clouds in the sky and both bosses not around, the office was quiet and dull.

Smurfy was taking half-day, complaining of gastric pains in the stomach. Stitchy and me were bored-stiff, sleepy on a good-for-sleeping weather, but at work.

    Then good news came!

Apparently Smurfy is expecting mini-smurfs soon! Gastric pains they aren't, pregnant pains they are!

    Grats!

More colour to a dull monday!

Lions for Lambs + Fine dining @ Canelé Pâtisserie

Last friday took leave and went to movies with a colleague. We watched the latest Tom Cruise show "Lions for Lambs". This is a mind-engaging show, about war and September 11, and how it affects 6 different person: the politician trying to forget past mistakes and make new moves to "rectify" them, the reporter who wants to report the truth but is under corporate pressure to make a "sensational" story, a university professor trying to get a young and adolescent student back to track, and the lives and tragedy of two soldiers who took the choice to go to war to fight for what they believe is their destiny.

Personally i find this show very deep, with lots of possible avenues of discussion and debate.

Next we dropped by to Paragon for tea, at Canelé Pâtisserie. High class place! I had a strawberry shortcake while she had the mango cake. What's funny was when the waiter was serving the cakes, she naturally gave the strawberry shortcake to the female, and the mango, to me.

Oh, how wrong the waiter was!

    Settler's Cafe

Last night's turnout for the Boardgames event was dissappointing, only 4 of us (Edmund, me, the only lady KT and the organiser Jerald)

Nevertheless we had some fun playing the boardgames...

Dunno which event to go to next though....

The things you get in Junk Mail folder

With the advancement in email spam filters, you get less and less crap mail...

But do you ever wonder what crap goes into that little wonder that makes our email-ing lives better?

I decided to take a perilous journey deep into the forgotten lands of Junk email. Armed with nothing but a keyboard and mouse, i took a step in...

It was just as they described. Messages of porn, virtual sex, prostate enhancing "elixirs", and pretty much everything useless can be found there...

I shuddered at the horrors displayed before me, and i almost clicked on the button which will make all these go away...the magical, mystical...

"Delete all spam messages now" button.

Then, amongst all these trash, something glittered. I took a look... a mail from Swenson's. Whats a mail like this doing inside? Could it be another of those "fake" title message, with god-knows-what type of contents. But what if its something else?

With mixed thoughts... i opened the mail.

It was a "thank you" note from Swenson's, saying that from now till a specified date, if we order sundaes, they will give us a same one free!

    w00t!

So, morale of the story: Check your junk mail folders, there might be something good inside!
