Sooooo, i was feeling proud that my computer was virus free, since i didn't have any protection on (YES, i was running NAKED on the Interwebs).

That was, until this morning.

Something about my explorer.exe restarting itself when i close IE prompted me to give it a check. Damn, turned out i had a trojan infecting my com! Immediately i took up arms, installed the armor pack (anti-spyware, anti-malware, anti-virus programs) and after 3 hours of scanning, rebooting and re-scanning it seems all is fine.

For now.

Well... lesson learnt: never boast about the inevitable; it might happen, it could happen, and it definately will (for my case, HAD) happen.

Today got the pay increment notice, i got an increment of $X.XX. Well.. was told not to disclose, so X.XX lor. :)

Anyway, they're putting me up for promo this june, on my 2yrs service to the company. "Its all in your hands" was what i was told... honestly i rather have someone decide. I have shakey hands... wait i drop the chance how?

Oh well... 2008 is here to stay, hope for a good year this year!

No la, the leash was bought on a whim, a dark suggestion implanted to me... so far i've tried on Tsutsu....he doesn't seem too happy though....

This little incident last nite at dinner really cracks me up...

Was having dinner at Mac with sis and mom, went to the counter to order (with my sis).

The kid at the counter (yes, kid, 16 years old), wasn't that good of a service person, before i could finish my order she asked "Upsize, UPSIZE", twice. I didn't really go notice, but it seems that my sis got quite pissed off at this.

thinking back, what training do these kids get when they go into the service sector? To many, its an easy job, taking orders, serving customers, clearing tables. But the underlying stuff, the thing that's most important, is often neglected, forgotten.

And that's how our service level degrades.

This is quite an event... they even issued an official SAF100 to get the reservists to go back for the half-day event...

Basically its a briefing about the new RSAF structure... can't reveal much, but it means less work but more communication layers.... abit stupid... but whatever la... i'm JUST A RESERVIST.

The latest album by my favourite band, L'Arc~en~Ciel! Though i'm abit late in getting this (they released this album in 2007.11.21), its been 2 years since they've last released an album.

Didn't really liked all the songs, but it was worth the 20 bucks spent! Laruku, yeah!!!

The worst part about throwing a surprise is fearing that somehow things go wrong.. the suprise gets leaked, logistic issues... etc..

But thankfully, Stitchy's little surprise birthday celebration in office went well. I managed to pull the thing off, with help from fellow collaborators, to get her away, setup the place, get the people in, then lure her to the place.

Finally i can rest easy.

Cake of choice, btw, was the Mango Mousse from Bakerzin.

What a start for a new year...

I suffered through "hell on earth" last night. Feverish, and yet cold at the same time. Whole nite, for 10 hours straight. No sleep, couldn't sleep.

Went to see the doc yesterday after work, but only gave me medicine for flu and cough. After taking the med and trying to sleep, the fever came on and made hell come to me..

This morning i went to see the doc again, and finally got some antibiotics... now feeling alot better, although still coughing and no appetite (how to eat when u can't taste anything??)..

Just 3 days into the new year and i'm sick.... SUXOR!!!

This might not make alot of sense, but i particularly liked this phrase...

Life keeps moving on, akin to a conveyor belt. You laugh, you cry, you suffer defeat, you achieve success... no matter what you do, it keeps moving. Nothing will stop. Everything will move on.

Looking at life, i'll be 27 this 2008. Many wish for big bucks, strike ToTo/4D, etc.

All i wish is for happiness.

PS: this is pretty much a filler post, as i have not posted once in 2008... so just filling the blanks till something good comes along. :)
