Just came back from dinner with my gal, first we went to Downtown East @ Pasir Ris to watch her favourite Carebears live performance (bought her a rainbow carebear plushie ^^), there after we went to this HK Cafe @ Katong for dinner... then send her back home...
Its been almost 2 months since we go together as an item... and i'm slowly adapting to life with a girlfriend... c'mon, i was single for my entire existance, now that another person has come into my life, i need to to get used to... no more aimlessly wandering around, no more wasting time, now time is spent with my girl, whenever feasibly possible...
life direction changed over the course of the few months, gradually seeing things, learning things, and adapting....
Here's to another month (next tuesday marks the 2 month we're together) and to many many more months!
1. Unicycling 2. Rollerblading 3. Playing Guitar 4. Japanese Language (get at least a JLPT basic cert)
Toys/ Gadgets i wanna get: 1. UMPC aka Ultra Mobility Personal Computer (either the Asus Eeepc or MSI Wind) 2. A new Handphone 3. Replace my old PSP 4. Nintendo DS 5. R/C Helicopter
Thats alot right? And its alot of cash to spend too....
Well, none of these are necessary anyway, so i guess i'll shelve these up for the time being... :)
To welcome the new Asst DP Manager, we held our welcome lunch @ Novena Square's Ichiban Boshi. and for 8 persons (7 ladies and me, the thorn amongst the roses), this is what filled our table:
Side story to shattered windscreen: the case of the travelling Cybershot camera
Amongst the tension came with the shattered rear windscreen episode, here's a side story that many find amusing:
Before sending for repairs, i was told to make arrangements with the various certified workshops for appointments. Being smart and clever that i am, i chose the nearest one, at AMK Industrial Park 2. So i called them, they have stock, and i prepared to go down to the workshop immediately.
Before i left for the workshop, i took our family's digital camera, a Sony Cybershot 4.1MP camera (YES ANTIQUE! But it works, sooo ), wanting to keep a record of the damage. i went to the car, and put the camera on top of the car, and proceeded to remove whatever coverings i used to cover the car.
Phone rang, so went to pick up... and proceeded to go to the workshop.
At the workshop, the coversation was as follows:
Mechanic: Oi, u wan to take photo ah Me (just remembering): Oh ya hor!! Wait for me for a while... *Rumaging bag... and camera not there!* Me: errrr... *Mechanic points to car rear* *Me goes to car rear*
Me: WHAT THE !!! THE CAMERA IS THERE???? Mechanic: Wah, brother, u pro lei, u drove all the way here and camera still there!
....................................
Err...... okay.... i must be travelling very slow, else how can the camera stay on top of the car for so long? The journey was from Hougang Ave. 6 to AMK Industrial Park 2.... not that far...
Lemme see.... roughly 8 left turns and 1 U-Turn, and the camera is still there...
Parents just left for shanghai, and this happened... feeling damn lousy now...
Yesterday evening, while going out for dinner with my dear Shan, i drove into a multi-storey carpark at Bedok. During reversing, i didn't notice the metal grilles/ beams behind the car and, well...
CRASHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH my the car's whole rear windscreen shattered into millions of tiny pieces... me and my dear were shocked...
today i took urgent leave to bring down to either the IDAC for insurace claims or to Kah Motors (since its due for maintenance).
Feeling damn lousy, i crashed the car twice le... 1 time front, 1 time behind.... my parents were very understanding though... thanks mom and dad. i'll settle the costs for the repair.
my dear was also very supportive... she helped me find solutions, called people she know, and stayed with me to help make a quick remedy (which consists of using newspapers to cover the gaping hole behind). She even fed me the fried rice i bought for us...even though i didn't had the appetite to eat, she encouraged me and i ended up eating.
患难见真情
my dear stuck with me....i was very touched.... thanks dear...
stayed in the car to "jaga" it overnight... now home for a while (since daylight le, and i've brought everything valuable up), quickly settle home stuff, going to bathe soon and get ready to move off...
For those who have my msn, you might have noticed a strange message...
"Special Friday the 13th"
Welll, its time to reveal why...
presenting....
Me and my dear's couple ring!
Engraved with our chinese names (Wuhan for me, Yishan for her)
We saw this ring set Silver corner by Nouveau @ Bugis junction on monday actually... but the engraving takes a few days, so we can only collect on Friday the 13th..
and guess what, prior to meeting my dear, only hours before, i applied for a day's leave for Friday the 13th!
Alright..... in order to quel the recent uprising & protests that my blog is turning all lovy-dovy and mushiness (and perhaps growing mould in the process?), i shall now blog about something else....
Gaming!
Honestly, i haven't been hardcore-gaming since last year November/December, so far no withdrawal symtoms yet. Or maybe because i still have my trusty ol' PSP.
Speaking of which, i dropped it and created a gaping hole in its side......SADNESS!
The (portable) gaming scene has gotten pretty boring, currently playing Hot Shots Golf (boreeee), Initial D Street Stage (game hung at one stage). Nothing much else coming out, no new hot games... BOREEEEEE
I've been tempted to get a DS Lite, but common sense has been going against that idea.
Next up on my tech want list is the Eee PC from ASUS; an UMPC (Ultra Mobility Personal Computer), its around the size of an A4 size paper, and weighs less than a KG. This friday i'm on leave; going down to PC show @ Suntec to see if there are any nice offers for this device.
Yesterday i went for Cindy (my office colleague)'s wedding @ Novotel Clarke Quay... Congrats to her and her hubby Boon Siang!Happy Marital Bliss!
Jasmine also came.... and dressed for the occasion too! Too bad i don't have the photo now, she looks absolutely stunning! When she came up to us, it took me 3 seconds to realise it was her!! *^_^*
During the dinner, Claire and Jasmine made a comment that how different i am now from 2 years ago...i was quiet, reserved, well behaved... and now? Talkative.. and cheeky~
When i think about it... yes, perhaps, i have changed, but only because i was in a shell for too long, it is time to break out... and live! and now that i've found the love of my life, i can't be in a shell, i will share my joys and sadness with her, as long as i breathe....
(PS: SOME PEOLE also commented that my blog postings were getting more and more mushy... REALLY MEH?IZZIT?WHERE GOT HUH????)
1 month ago, on May 1st 2008, me and my honey shan went official into a relationship.
The "celebration" today was a simple one. Dinner, shopping, then sent her home (not to mention accompanying her for a HDB viewing before that, and meeting her Propnex manager Zac for coffee)
its been a busy first month for us; her real estates' in its infancy stages, things are still picking up; i'm in camp for reservist for past 2 weeks; the viewings, the callings, her lessons....we spent most of time on the road, ferrying her off to lessons and back; short simple dinners....
busy as it may be, but it was a good one month...i love her more and more..
Dearest Yishan, Thank you for being with me. 11 more months to our First Year Anniversary!
